It is a decorative panel that is used in some churches as a coating of the front of an altar. The frontal is made of a type of fine gypsum plaster used in sculpture, has a black background with volute motifs acantiformi and the center, framed by a laurel wreath, is an image depicting the Rest on the Flight into Egypt.

The restoration, which started in January 2016 was performed at the Laboratory of Restoration and the Clerk of the Pietre Dure  at The Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence

Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 6:00 PM in the hall of Compagnia delle Stimmate presentation of the restoration of the work and subsequent visit of it, which is located in the Basilica of San Lorenzo .
